Organic Robbers

And no, I don't mean thieves who harvest people for organs.

Went to a farmer's market nearby today...it was a ton of fun! Tho prices were ridonkulously expensive. "Organic" cucumbers going for 2 bucks a piece. A dozen "organic" eggs for five bucks. "Organic" duck breast for 12 bucks a piece. (What ARE organic ducks? Were they ever inorganic? Someone please explain to me.) I'm honestly not quite sure if all this organic crap worth draining my bank account for lol. One thing Jersey is big on,it's organic food.

The market was rather small, but there was a good amount of things to look at and there was live music. Though it was drizzling, it was still a fairly crowded affair. My roomie and I had fun poking around at each tent, looking around, drooling at fresh fresh produce and confectioneries . I caved in and bought a bag of cider donuts. YUMZ!

Many of the vendors were selling fresh flowers. I was so tempted to buy some because they looked so happifying. I especially loved the sunflowers.

Aren't they pretty?

They were also selling other flowers in a bunch in a myriad of colors...pinks, purples, blue. I thought it would be lovely to have a bunch of fresh flowers on our kitchen table. What stopped me was the fact that our kitchen is perpetually messy anyways. Sticking flowers in the middle of mess is just going to add more to the mess.

Fruits fruits galore! Peaches, cherries and I still don't know what the green thing is. It looked like a green peach, but the flesh was red. I asked the vendor what it was and I heard something like "plumzilla". Still remains a mystery to me.

There was also a vendor selling candles, soaps and whatnot.

I was especially intrigued by this:
It's homemade soap wrapped in llama fur! So the fur acts as a washcloth and as the soap gradually diminishes the whole thing will gradually shrink down to a small little furry ball. I would have been tempted to try it, but it was 15 bucks. Daylight robbery!!! I might as well just buy a cheap bar soap from the store, wrap my hair around it and sell it for 20 bucks. (Just kidding)

My verdict on the farmer's market: Fun, but overrated. Also, prices=legal robbery.
